Privacy Policy

DM Screen runs entirely in your web browser. We have no user accounts and no database, and we do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to us. The short version: your data stays on your device.

What's stored, and where

Your party, encounters, combat state, notes, theme choice, and any character sheet you build are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it (see below). You can erase all of it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this site.

Sharing a character sheet

When you use the share feature, the character's data is encoded directly into the share link (in the part of the URL after the “#”, which is not sent to any server). The information is only shared if you choose to send that link to someone. If you share it through a third-party service such as a messaging app or email, that service's own privacy policy governs how they handle it.

Third-party services

The site is served by our hosting provider, which may process standard technical information (such as your IP address and request metadata) in its server logs in order to deliver the site. We do not use analytics or advertising.

Cookies

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Local storage is used only to make the app function (saving the data you create), not to track you.

Children's privacy

DM Screen is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your control over your data

Because everything is stored locally, you are in full control: clearing your browser's storage for this site permanently deletes it. We hold no copy.
